Quick answer

Executive chauffeur hire in Stockholm costs 995 SEK per hour in a Standard Mercedes E-Class, with a three-hour minimum — so 2,985 SEK is the smallest booking. A half day of four hours is 3,695 SEK and a full day of eight hours is 6,795 SEK, which works out at 849 SEK per hour. Multi-day programmes with the same driver throughout are 5,995 SEK per day. The rate covers the vehicle, the driver, fuel, tolls, parking, the congestion charge and VAT. The driver stays with you between stops and your luggage stays in the car.

01 — The rate card

The longer you book, the less each hour costs.

Per vehicle, not per passenger. Three people and one person pay the same, because you are buying the car and the driver's day.

All figures in SEK, per vehicle, VAT included. Economy is not offered for chauffeur hire — a day at your disposal is a different commitment from an airport run, and we put the better car on it. Hours beyond the booking are charged at the hourly rate and agreed with you before the clock runs on, never afterwards.

02 — Four ways to book

Match the booking to the shape of the day.

Tell us what the day looks like and we will say which of these costs least, including when the answer is not to book a chauffeur at all.

01

Hourly, minimum three

For an afternoon of meetings or an evening out. The car waits between stops and the route is decided as you go. Smallest booking is 2,985 SEK in a Standard sedan.

02

Half day, four hours

The common corporate shape — a morning of meetings, an afternoon of site visits, or a dinner and theatre evening. 3,695 SEK, which is 285 SEK less than four hours booked hourly.

03

Full day, eight hours

Roadshows, board days that run from Kista to Solna to the city, and conference schedules. 6,795 SEK, an effective 849 SEK an hour and the best value for a single day.

04

Multi-day programmes

The same driver retained across a visit, which matters more by day three than people expect. 5,995 SEK per day. Overnight costs outside the region are shown separately, never folded in.

03 — The honest arithmetic

Sometimes you should book transfers instead.

Chauffeur hire is our higher-value service. It is also the wrong answer for plenty of days, and we would rather say so than sell it into a booking that does not need it.

Worth saying plainly

On raw price, transfers usually win

Point-to-point transfers are cheaper than chauffeur hire for most fixed itineraries, and the table above shows it. What you buy with chauffeur hire is not a lower price — it is a car that waits, luggage that stays aboard, and a schedule you can change at 14:00 without re-booking anything. If your day is three known journeys at known times, book three transfers and keep the difference. If your day has gaps, uncertainty, or a client meeting that might run long, the car at your disposal is what you actually need. Tell us the day and we will tell you which one it is.

04 — What people book it for

Days that will not hold still.

Six patterns that account for most of our chauffeur work across the Stockholm region.

i.

Investor and sales roadshows

Six meetings across Stockholm in a day, each running to its own clock. The car moves with the schedule instead of against it, and materials stay in the boot between stops.

ii.

Board and site-visit days

Kista to Solna to the city and back, with waiting built in. Your driver learns the day's geography once and stops needing directions after the second stop.

iii.

Conference and exhibition

Stockholmsmässan at Älvsjö and Kistamässan both sit awkwardly for public transport. A held car across the exhibition day beats four separate journeys and a queue at the rank each evening.

iv.

Delegations and embassy work

Protocol schedules, multiple vehicles moving together, and drivers briefed on the route in advance. First class and convoy arrangements, with discretion assumed rather than requested.

v.

Weddings and milestone days

The car held from the ceremony through the reception, with the timings changing as these days always do. First class or the V-Class for a party arriving together.

vi.

Evenings and hospitality

Dinner, a concert at the Avicii Arena, and back — where the last stop is decided at the second-to-last one. Late finishes are routine; the fixed price does not move because it is one in the morning.

05 — What the rate contains

Everything except the things we cannot control.

Waiting time is the service, not an extra. You are never charged for the car standing still, because standing still is what you booked it to do.

i.

Included in the hourly rate

Vehicle and dedicated driver · all fuel · motorway tolls · parking at every stop · the Stockholm congestion charge · VAT at 6 percent · bottled water · phone charging · Wi-Fi · unlimited waiting within the booked hours · unlimited stops · luggage staying in the vehicle throughout the day.

ii.

Charged separately

Hours beyond the booking, at the hourly rate and always agreed before the clock runs on · child seats and pets in a carrier, as paid add-ons · driver overnight accommodation on multi-day work outside the region, shown as a line rather than folded into the day rate · ferry fares where a route needs one.

iii.

Your driver

Swedish taxiförarlegitimation · annual background check · winter driving certification · professional English as standard, with Swedish, Arabic and Spanish available on request · discretion regarding anything said in the car, which for delegation and corporate work is the part that matters most.

06 — Corporate accounts

If you book this more than twice a month.

Most of our chauffeur work runs on accounts rather than card payments, because the people arranging it are rarely the people travelling. An account removes the booking friction and, more usefully, removes the expense claim.

Set-up takes a day and needs a billing address, a VAT number and the cost-centre references your finance team expects to see on a line item.

Named contact

One person who knows your travellers and your programme, not a general queue and a ticket number.

Monthly consolidated invoice

Cost centres, project codes and traveller names on each line, in the format your system expects.

Standing preferences

Vehicle class, preferred drivers and pickup habits held on the account so they are not re-specified each time.

Duty-of-care reporting

A record of every journey, driver and vehicle available on request for your travel risk reporting.

07 — Chauffeur questions

Before you book a day.

Route pricing is on the transfers page. Day trips are on tours.

Why is a full day of chauffeur hire more than a full-day tour?
Because the route is unknown. A published tour — Uppsala at 4,495 SEK for seven hours — follows a planned itinerary we have driven many times, mostly on open road, with the driver briefed in advance. Chauffeur hire at 6,795 SEK for eight hours holds a car and driver entirely at your disposal, in city traffic, with the day decided as it happens. You are paying for the flexibility, not the mileage. If your day genuinely is a known itinerary, book the tour and pay less.
Is there really a three-hour minimum?
Yes. A chauffeur booking removes a vehicle and driver from the transfer roster for the whole block, so the minimum reflects what the slot actually costs us. If you need one journey, or two, a point-to-point transfer is cheaper and we will tell you so — the shortest chauffeur booking is 2,985 SEK, while a hotel-to-meeting transfer and back is closer to 1,190 SEK.
What if the day runs longer than booked?
Extra time is charged at the hourly rate for the class you booked — 995 SEK for a Standard sedan — and it is agreed with you before the clock runs on, never applied afterwards as a surprise. Your driver will tell you when you are approaching the end of the booked hours and ask. Part hours are rounded to the nearest half hour, in your favour under fifteen minutes.
Do I get the same driver all day, and across several days?
The same driver all day, always. Across a multi-day programme, the same driver throughout wherever the schedule allows, and we will tell you at booking if it does not — a fourteen-hour day followed by an early start is a legal rest problem, not a preference. Once you have travelled with someone on our team you can request them by name on future bookings.
Can the driver wait while I am in a meeting?
Yes, and that is the point of the service rather than an extra. Waiting is included within your booked hours with no separate charge and no limit on the number of stops. Parking is our problem, not yours — the driver deals with finding somewhere legal near the address, which around Stureplan and Norrmalm is a real skill. Your luggage and materials stay in the vehicle throughout.
Can chauffeur hire start or end at Arlanda?
Yes, and it is a common shape — collected at Terminal 5, straight into a day of meetings, dropped at the hotel that evening. When the booking starts at the airport we track your inbound flight exactly as we do for a transfer, and the booked hours begin at the actual landing time rather than the scheduled one. Ending at Arlanda, we build the check-in margin into the last leg.
Is there a night or weekend surcharge?
A night surcharge may apply to bookings starting between 23:00 and 05:00, shown before you confirm. There is no weekend surcharge and no surge pricing at any hour — a New Year's Eve booking costs what the quote said in November. If your day runs past midnight, the hours are charged at the standard rate for the class.
How far in advance should I book?
Forty-eight hours is comfortable, and more in June and during major conference weeks at Stockholmsmässan or Kistamässan, when the whole city's chauffeur capacity tightens at once. Same-day is often possible outside those periods — call dispatch rather than booking online. Multi-day programmes and delegation work want two weeks so the same driver can be held across the dates.
