Stockholm to Arlanda, with time to spare.
The departure leg is the one that goes wrong, because nobody is tracking your flight for you and the trains stop running when you need them most. From 695 SEK per vehicle, priced by the kilometre and fixed before you book, collected from your door, with the check-in margin worked out before you book.
A private transfer from central Stockholm to Arlanda (ARN) starts from 695 SEK in an Economy sedan and from 895 SEK in a Standard Mercedes E-Class — exactly the same as the inbound leg. For a Schengen departure, be collected 2 hours 45 minutes before your flight; for intercontinental, 3 hours 45 minutes. That is the recommended check-in margin plus a 45-minute drive. Afternoon departures between 16:00 and 18:00 need an extra twenty minutes because rush hour runs out of the city. A 10:00 long-haul departure works out at roughly an 06:15 pickup.

|---|---|---|---|
| 06:00 | 03:20 | 02:20 | Empty roads. No train alternative at this hour. |
| 07:00 | 04:20 | 03:20 | The most common early departure. Book the night before. |
| 08:00 | 05:15 | 04:20 | Security queues build from 05:00. Do not trim this one. |
| 10:00 | 07:15 | 06:15 | Outbound is clear while rush hour runs the other way. |
| 13:00 | 10:15 | 09:15 | The easiest departure window of the day. |
| 16:00 | 13:15 | 12:15 | Still clear. Leave before the afternoon build-up. |
| 19:00 | 15:55 | 15:15 | Drive crosses the 16:00–18:00 rush, so the Schengen pickup is pulled earlier. |
| 21:00 | 18:15 | 16:55 | Outbound rush hour. The long-haul pickup is deliberately early. |
Times are for pickup in central Stockholm. Add roughly 10 minutes from Södermalm, Nacka or Hammarby Sjöstad, and subtract about 10 minutes from Solna, Sundbyberg or Kista. In heavy snow we bring the pickup forward rather than driving faster. If you would rather leave earlier than the table says, tell us and we will — nobody has ever complained about reaching Arlanda with time in hand.
Nobody is tracking your flight for you.
Arriving, we watch the aircraft and adjust. Departing, the margin is decided before the day and there is no recovering it at 05:40.
Trains do not run when you need them
Arlanda's busiest departure bank starts around 06:00, and public transport into it is thin. The Arlanda Express does not run continuously through the night and coach services reduce heavily in the small hours. For a 06:00 or 07:00 flight, a pre-booked car is not a luxury choice — it is frequently the only reliable one.
The afternoon problem
Between 16:00 and 18:00 traffic runs out of the city, which is exactly the direction you are travelling. The drive stretches from 45 minutes toward 65. Arriving guests never notice this because their leg is the clear one; departing guests notice it acutely, so we build it in.
The queue that varies
Bag drop is usually quick. The variable is security between 05:00 and 08:00, when the domestic and European morning departures stack together. This is the single most common reason a comfortable margin turns into a run to the gate, and why we do not shave the early-morning pickups.
For a mid-morning flight, travelling light, the train is fine
If your flight leaves at 11:00, you are one or two people with cabin bags, and you are staying near Stockholm Central, the Arlanda Express at 18 minutes is a perfectly good answer and cheaper than us. The departure leg is where we genuinely earn our place at the other end of the range: flights before 08:00, three or more travellers, checked luggage, children, an address away from Central, or a 16:00–18:00 departure where the traffic is against you and a missed flight costs more than the car.
Priced by distance, identical either way.
Per vehicle, not per person, and every figure is a starting-from price. The distance does not change with direction, so neither does the rate.

Starting-from prices in SEK, per vehicle, VAT included, along with tolls, the congestion charge, the Arlanda access charge, parking and luggage handling. They assume a standard central Stockholm address; an outlying one is priced on the same per-kilometre rate. A night surcharge may apply between 23:00 and 05:00 and is shown before you confirm — worth knowing, since a great many departure pickups fall inside that window. Child seats and pets in a carrier are paid add-ons.
Every figure on this site is a starting-from price. The fare itself is built from a base fare plus a per-kilometre rate for the distance actually driven, with a minimum fare that applies to short runs. We calculate it and lock it before you book — there is no meter, no surge and nothing recalculated afterwards.

All figures in SEK, per vehicle, VAT included. Worked example: an Economy sedan on this 40 km route is 255 SEK base + 11 SEK × 40 km = 695 SEK. Below roughly 20 km (12 miles) the minimum fare applies instead, which is what a short hop such as Arlanda to Knivsta or Sigtuna costs. Above that the rate simply continues, so a long run to Västerås or Enköping is priced by the same arithmetic rather than by negotiation.
Always a “from” price
Published prices are the starting point for a standard central address. Your own address, the vehicle class and any extra stops decide the final figure.
Distance, not the clock
The rate runs on kilometres driven door to door, not on minutes. Traffic, a delayed flight or a slow baggage belt cannot move the number.
A floor, not a surprise
Short journeys fall to the minimum fare for the class rather than dropping below what it costs to send a licensed car and driver.
Fixed before you book
You see the exact total, in writing, before you confirm. Tolls, the Arlanda access charge, parking, waiting time and luggage handling are already inside it.
Dropped at the right terminal.
Departures sit on a different level from arrivals, and Terminal 2 is a separate building. Tell us the airline and we will get the terminal right.
Terminal 5
SAS, Star Alliance and most long-haul departures. The busiest terminal, and the one where an early-morning security queue is most likely.
Terminal 2
oneworld, SkyTeam and several low-cost international carriers. A separate building south of the main complex, so being dropped at Terminal 5 by mistake costs you real time.
Terminal 4
Domestic departures to Gothenburg, Malmö, Luleå and the regional network. Connected to Terminal 5 on foot through SkyCity in five to seven minutes.
What we do
Your driver takes you to the departures level of the correct terminal, unloads the luggage and points you at the right entrance. If your airline has moved terminal since booking, dispatch will have caught it.
Your door, whatever the hour.
Same fixed price across the central districts. Add or subtract the minutes shown when reading the pickup table above.
